About Nonie Wideman
Nonie Wideman, a self taught watercolor artist born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, resides currently in the northern community of Rose Prairie on a farm with her husband and foster children. Nonie dabbled with art as a teenager prefering pencil drawings and charcoal portraits, but with raising two sons, then an active household of special needs children, shepherding, and working as a Special Needs Educational Assistant, she put her art interests on hold until recently when she decided to slow the pace down and rekindle her artistic persuits. After experimenting with a few mediums Nonie has found the most enjoyment expressing herself using watercolors. Living in the north and being surrounded by wildlife it is no surprise that she loves painting animals to capture and share with others that which intrigues,soothes,and delights us with their presence.
